About Us

Yumbah Hatchery is South Australia’s largest supplier of pacific oyster spat to the state’s growers.

We are located at Point Boston in Port Lincoln and are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Office Administrator.

 

About the Role

We are recruiting a driven and passionate Office Administrator to support our team.

This position will be approximately a 3-day per week commitment, with room for flexibility with working days and times.

The Office Administrator works in a team that is responsible for assisting our operational team to be as effective and efficient as possible, as such the role is exciting and varied.

 

The Site Admin is responsible for the following:

  • Workplace induction of new employees.
  • Assist with safety systems, policy and implementation.
  • Be a first point of contact for questions and queries from onsite team members on safety and compliance systems.
  • Assist with audit documentation, such as biosecurity, food safety etc.
  • Assist Oyster Admin and site managers with Site HR, Payroll, and Accounts queries.
  • Maintain records and report to Oysters Administration Manager.
  • Document Control for compliance areas under their control.
  • Coordinate and carry out office administration functions e.g., mail, filing, ordering of stationery, and staff amenities.
  • Record minutes of Toolbox and oyster site meetings, and contribute when applicable.
  • Actively participate in farm meetings, initiatives, and improvement strategies.
  • Assist in some customer-facing roles such as phone calls, newsletters etc.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues in a respectful and supportive manner.

 

Qualifications & experience

  • A high level of computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in an admin role.
  • We are particularly seeking someone with excellent communication skills who can engage with staff, customers and suppliers and contribute meaningfully to a positive team culture.
