Factory Machine Operator

Intro
Yumbah is fast becoming Australia’s leading shellfish aquaculture company. Our business today comprises of operations in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, farming abalone, oysters and mussels for both the domestic and international consumer markets, as well as oyster spat for the South Australian oyster industry.
We are adding to our team of production operators at our processing facility and are seeking expressions of interest from preferably experienced Factory Machine Operators located in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
Job Description
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and co-operatively and have strong mechanical skills, coupled with well-developed problem solving and diagnostic capabilities. Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment preferable however on the job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Key duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operating and monitoring equipment;
- Performing quality checks and troubleshooting issues to ensure consistent output and product quality;
- Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements; and
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production activities.
- Some experience in processing/production lines is preferred but not essential as specific training will be provided.
