About the Role & Location

This is an exciting new role, based at our St Helens sites.  It offers the successful applicant the opportunity to shape the role to deliver outcomes.  This role will manage our marine operations, supervising our boat teams, and managing our on-water assets and boat fleet. It reports directly to the Northern Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Ideally, you will have experience in Aquaculture, but other industries that may have relevant experience include naval service, commercial diving operations, mooring or marine maintenance operations.  The successful applicant will have commercial skipper qualifications, managed small crews in the past and be experienced in working to a plan and target to meet outcomes.  You will be ambitious and keen to work in a high performing team.

Required:

  • Coxswain NC2 or higher or greater than 6 months logged sea service
  • Experience in leadership or small team management required (this can include in community service and/or sporting teams, think broader than just your employment).

Highly Regarded:

  • Marine Engine Driver 3 or greater
  • A forklift ticket
  • An operational knowledge of HACCP and food safety principles
  • Experience with Vessel Safety management systems
