The business operates nationally in some of the most pristine waters of Australia including Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. We farm abalone, oysters, and mussels for both domestic and international consumer markets as well as oyster spat for the Tasmanian and South Australian oyster industry. We are poised for an exciting growth phase on several fronts through a focus on driving organic improvement by margin optimisation through sales execution, farming optimisation, lease and site development to increase capacity, and further acquisitions. An opportunity now exists for a People and Culture Advisor to join our team based in Adelaide, South Australia.

Job Description
We are looking an experienced and motivated People and Culture Advisor, with an ambitious attitude to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, this role has a heavy focus on recruitment and onboarding whilst also providing the opportunity to provide generalist HR advisory support.
About the Role
The successful applicant will undertake the following duties:
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment:
- Create job descriptions for new position and update existing job descriptions as required
- Develop job adverts
- Participate in Career Exhibitions
- Support on-site recruitment
- Train hiring managers on recruitment principles
- Manage Visa and work eligibility requirements
- Triage backpacker expression of interest enquiries
- Manage the careers email inbox
HR Advisory:
- Review and update employee policies and procedures
- Provide advice on award interpretation and maintain up to date with FairWork / NES changes
- Lead and manage employee onboarding and offboarding
- Where applicable provide HR advisory support to site managers and people leaders
- Provide administrative support such as managing employee data
- Support the People and Culture Business Partner with key employee initiatives and projects.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- 2 years’ experience in a people and culture or recruitment role
- Qualification in human resource / psychology (or similar) is desirable
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Team orientated approach and can-do attitude.
