The successful applicant will manage small teams to ensure that spat is delivered to nurseries in accordance with our policies and procedures.  It reports directly to the Propagation Manager.  This role offers the ability to work flexibly.  At Camerons, our world is your oyster.

The Hatchery Manager is crucial role in our hatchery team and offers you the opportunity to lead an amazing team of high achievers.

• Daily management of oyster hatchery
• Supervise and manage hatchery team members
• Train new staff and actively promote a good working culture amongst the team
• Maintain sufficient breeding population of oysters
• Work closely with Nursery Manager to optimise stock profile
• Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of culture, plumbing and pumping equipment
• Promoting continuous improvement, identifying efficiencies and best practice farming methods

• Experience in shellfish hatcheries/nursery
• Understanding of OHS
• Supervision of small teams
