About the Role

Based in Port Lincoln, this position will be responsible for driving a MR or HR Heavy Vehicle within and around Port Lincoln for our Mussel Operations, Australia’s largest mussel farming operation.

Duties include loading and unloading ropes and operational inventory as well as general maintenance of equipment and yard work. Additional responsibilities include rope work and other day-to-day shore-based activities which require a good level of physical fitness.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced and versatile MR or HR Driver seeking a diverse role within in a committed team environment. Aquaculture or fishing industry experience will be highly regarded.

Required Certifications and Skills

This is what we have for a previous Truck Driver/ Yard worker role:

  • Current MR or HR Truck Licence and proven experience
  • Forklift Licence
  • Thorough understanding of laws covering crane operation, dogging duties and forklift operation
  • Thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Thorough organisational skills and ability to prioritise and schedule work
  • Good problem-solving ability with an outcome focus
  • Ability to maintain safe work practices
  • Good level of physical fitness required for a variety of duties
