Job Description

As our National Talent Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and developing our workforce and leadership leadership capability.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Yumbah’s strategic workforce plan over the long term, whilst delivering highly efficient systems and processes to enable the business to meet it’s short-term labour force needs.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the General Manager of People & Culture in the development of a strategic workforce plan
  • Develop and implement a pragmatic succession planning process for critical roles
  • Develop an EVP and Employer branding strategy for Yumbah to enhance Yumbah’s reputation as an employer of choice in key regional centers
  • Implement efficient systems to drive talent pooling and recruitment for permanent and casual labour, reducing the time and cost to fill a position
  • Conduct training needs analysis across the business to identify and prioritise technical and leadership skills training requirements
  • Identify and engage partners for the delivery of training programs nationally

Skills, Experience & Attributes

We’re looking for a people-focused Individual with experience in Talent sourcing and development who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment. You’ll bring commercial awareness, deep insight into how to create a great place to work and build high performing teams and be a strong relationship builder at your core.

You’ll need:

  • 5+ years in a generalist HR role or experience in specialist talent sourcing and training and development roles
  • Proven experience in implementing efficient and pragmatic people processes around recruitment and development for a diverse range of roles, from corporate and professional positions to frontline and casual labour
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and build strong relationships
  • Experience in multi-site or manufacturing environments (highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
