About the Role
Yumbah Mussels Holdings, Australia’s largest mussel farming business, is seeking a Production Supervisor/Leading Hand to join our Port Lincoln management team.
The successful candidate will have great communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure the smooth running of factory operations. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar processing/production role and specific training and support will be given.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company standards.
- Supervise and direct the team of process workers to ensure daily objectives are achieved within required timeframes.
- Monitor processing lines, ensuring they run smoothly, and any issues are promptly addressed.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, harvest team, quality control and maintenance) to ensure seamless operations.
- Achieve productivity targets set for production team for the various pack-types produced.
- Liaise with senior production supervisor regarding staffing rosters, the days intended processing schedule and anything production related.
- Assist with training of staff as directed by senior supervisor.
- Continuous improvement to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
