We are seeking a commercially focused Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our Corporate Finance Team, based at our Kent Town head office in Adelaide.
About the Role
This key role supports strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis, budgeting, robust forecasting activities and strong business partnering with operational leaders across our oyster operations.
The role will lead the development and maintenance of a financial model for biological stock data capture, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. It also plays a key role in developing clear, actionable insights through data visualisation and reporting tools that drive operational performance and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis and commercial insights to support management decision making
- Partner with operational teams to align financial performance with business drivers
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, including long-range planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve data quality, accuracy and interpretation and ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operational drivers
- Conduct scenario modelling, variance analysis and demand-based planning
- Support the Chief Financial Officer with ad hoc financial reports and strategic initiatives
Skills, Experience & Attributes
This role requires a commercially minded analyst who is a confident communicator and thrives on using data to solve problems. Success in the role demands a sharp eye for detail, a proactive approach and passion for leveraging insights to drive performance and influence strategic outcomes.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Business or a related field (post-grad qualifications advantageous)
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis and budgeting role in a complex environment or similar industry
- Strong capability in business partnering, with excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of BI and data tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel and financial modelling platforms
- Strong knowledge of finance policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Highly organised, with strong stakeholder engagement and planning capabilities
- Curious, analytical mindset and confidence presenting to non-finance audiences
