Mussels are a delicious, nutritious, affordable and time-efficient meal for the whole family. Follow the simple steps below to enjoy the sweet, tender and creamy texture of Yumbah Sea Farms premium mussels.
- Open the bag and drain the mussels into a colander or sieve.
- Rinse the mussels under cold running water for approximately one minute. Agitate the colander or sieve to ensure all mussels are rinsed.
- Bring one inch of water to a boil in a large pot. When the water is boiling, add the mussels into the pot and cover with a lid. Keep the pot on heat for approximately 5 minutes. The steam will quickly cook the mussels and most shells will open.
- Some mussels may not open after cooking however, they are still safe to eat. Simply apply more heat or open with a knife.
