Mussels are a delicious, nutritious, affordable and time-efficient meal for the whole family. Follow the simple steps below to enjoy the sweet, tender and creamy texture of Yumbah Sea Farms premium mussels.

  1. Open the bag and drain the mussels into a colander or sieve.
  2. Rinse the mussels under cold running water for approximately one minute. Agitate the colander or sieve to ensure all mussels are rinsed.
  3. Bring one inch of water to a boil in a large pot. When the water is boiling, add the mussels into the pot and cover with a lid. Keep the pot on heat for approximately 5 minutes. The steam will quickly cook the mussels and most shells will open.
  4. Some mussels may not open after cooking however, they are still safe to eat. Simply apply more heat or open with a knife.
