Tim’s Barbecued Abalone

Ingredients

Whole-In Shell Abalone

Step 1. Use a clean BBQ or a pan.

Step 2. Shuck clean and slice abalone.

Step 3. Drizzle with olive oil.

Step 4. Heat BBQ or pan medium to high.

Step 5. Prepare crushed garlic sparingly as it can overpower the abalone.

Step 6. Put abalone on the heat with some more oil and flash fry for 20 seconds.

Step 7. Add in some garlic and butter and fry for another 30 seconds taking care not to burn the garlic.

Pro Tip. The curling of the abalone indicates it is cooked.

Step 8. Remove from heat and season with salt, pepper, and a generous squeeze of lemon.

Step 9. Serve in shell for practical and impressive presentation.

Pro Tip. Most importantly, don’t over cook
